These unique artworks are painterly monotypes. A monotype is a unique one-of-a-kind print created by painting or inking directly onto a smooth surface such as plexiglass or metal. Once inked, the image is transferred onto paper using a printing press which presses paper onto the inked plate. The techniques used in these artworks can vary: some of these images are drypoints while others are made with solar plates. This collection is comprised of singular works in 1/1 editions that are signed and numbered and printed on luxurious, high-quality archival paper.
